ABOUT US
The idea for Community Seeds came about as a family business venture brainstorm. At the heart of this idea, DeAnna Holman was looking to pursue a career in magazine publishing and web design. As a stay-at-home mom, she wished to work out of her home and provide her with a creative outlet. After brainstorming with family, brainstorming with friends and community polling,
Community Seeds and a web directory, The Chico Connection were born.
Community Seeds was the initial idea for DeAnna's business. It seemed as though the area could use a FREE, local magazine that could offer information on a variety of topics and showcase the works, talents, and ideas of community members. As the concept for the magazine grew, the idea of providing an eco friendly, on-line "e-magazine" arose. No need to search around town for the magazine, it will be right at your fingertips whenever you want to read it!
Community Seeds has become a successful magazine that shares ideas on sustainable living which includes: caring for the environment, caring for self, caring for community and caring for world communities. It is our hope that Community Seeds Eco Magazine can help people on their green journey to make small changes that would not normally have been made. Small changes make a world of difference!
